Attachment D: Documentation of Water Measurement Conversion to Volume

Do I need to provide the Documentation of Water Measurement Conversion to Volume attachment?

If the water supplier is subject to the water measurement regulation, they must provide the  attachment.

Water Measurement Conversion to Volume

What is Required?

Water suppliers are required to describe their practices regarding water measurement and volume

calculations based on the type or types of measurement device/devices they use

IF supplier uses devices that measure flow rate, describe the process used to measure how long a water delivery occurs for. Volume = flow rate x duration of delivery

IF supplier uses devices that measure velocity only, describe how the cross section area is measured, and how the duration of the delivery is determined. Volume= velocity x cross section area x duration of delivery

IF supplier uses devices that measure water elevation, describe how the elevation is measured.

Also, describe the method or formula used to derive volume (see USBR Water Measurement
